- Guests with back, neck or spine problemsThe movement loads the spine repeatedly. If you have a disc problem, chronic back or neck pain, or you are recovering from a spinal injury, skip the dune bashing section.
- Guests with heart conditions or high blood pressureAdrenaline, heat and sudden movement are a poor combination for an unstable cardiac condition. Speak to your doctor first, then tell our booking team.
- Anyone who has had surgery in the last three monthsHealing tissue and sharp lateral movement do not mix. Wait until you are cleared, then come back.
- Guests with serious mobility limitationsGetting in and out of a raised 4WD on soft sand is harder than it looks. Tell us in advance and we will advise what is realistic for your group.
- Anyone who has consumed alcohol or drugs that dayRefused on the dune drive and on every self-drive machine, with no refund. This is not negotiable.
- Guests prone to severe motion sicknessNot a hard no, but plan for it: ask for a front seat, avoid a heavy meal in the two to three hours before the ride, keep your eyes on the horizon, and tell the driver so he can soften the drive.

Slow Down at the Desert Camp
The adrenaline does not have to end the moment your 4x4 leaves the high dunes. Evening safari guests continue to the desert camp, where the experience shifts from fast-moving adventure to a slower Arabian evening.
Take a short camel ride, try sandboarding, relax with refreshments and settle in for a BBQ buffet dinner. Depending on the scheduled programme, the evening can include Tanoura, fire performance, belly dancing and Yowla, along with henna for ladies and a designated shisha area.
