Prefer handlebars? Ride a self-drive quad bike or ATV across the designated Al Badayer riding areas with guide assistance. Quad riding is the most direct way to feel the sand yourself, and it takes very little time to get comfortable.

The machines

Prices are before transfer options and are confirmed when you book. Shorter and longer sessions are available.

Hotel transfers are an optional upgrade on standalone quad bookings and are included with the Desert Safari + Quad Bike combo at AED 199.

Rules and requirements

• Age and engine-size restrictions depend on the bike and the riding area — tell us the rider's age when you book.
• Helmet, goggles and protective equipment must be worn for the whole session.
• Stay inside the designated riding area and follow the guide.
• No stunts, and no alcohol or drugs before riding.
• Bring valid identification — it may be requested.
• Avoid very loose clothing that can interfere with riding equipment.

Quad or dune buggy?

A quad is ridden astride and steered partly with your body, which is part of the appeal and part of the learning curve. A dune buggy seats you in a roll cage with a wheel and pedals, carries passengers, and suits couples and families better.
