1. Before the drive

The vehicle is prepared for soft sand before entering the high dunes.
The driver checks that every guest is seated and belted.
Guests receive a briefing covering seat belts, hand position and how to ask the driver to stop.

2. During dune bashing

Seat belts must be worn at all times while the vehicle is moving.
Keep hands, arms, phones and cameras inside the vehicle.
Secure loose belongings before entering the dunes.
Tell the driver immediately if you feel unwell. Stopping is normal and free.
Do not distract the driver while the vehicle is on a slope.

3. Age policy

4x4 dune-bashing passenger: generally 3 years and above, with their own seat and restraint.
Dune-buggy driver: minimum 16 years.
Buggy passenger: depends on the vehicle and package.
Quad-bike rider: age and engine-size restrictions depend on the bike and riding area.

4. Medical restrictions

The dune drive is not suitable if you are pregnant, or have significant back or neck problems, heart conditions, recent surgery, serious mobility limitations or another condition that could be aggravated by strong vehicle movement. Disclose any condition when you book so we can arrange an alternative.

5. Alcohol and substances

Guests who have consumed alcohol or drugs will not be permitted on the dune drive or on any self-drive machine, and no refund applies in that case.

6. Protective equipment

Helmets, goggles and the protective equipment provided are mandatory for all quad and buggy riders and must be worn for the entire session, including during photographs. Closed footwear is required for all desert activities.

7. Self-drive conduct

Stay inside the designated riding area and follow the guide or marshal at all times.
Do not attempt stunts, jumps or unmarked dune faces.
Maintain the riding distance the team instructs.
Stop immediately if a marshal signals.

8. Recovery and emergencies

A stuck vehicle is routine, not an emergency. Remain seated unless the driver asks you to step out, and step out on the uphill side. Our desert team carries recovery equipment and first-aid provision.

9. Weather

Activities are suspended in sandstorms, heavy rain and low visibility. This decision rests with our desert team and is not negotiable on the day.

10. Environment

We keep to our operating area at Al Badayer, do not chase or disturb wildlife, and carry all waste out of the desert.
