About This Tour — Desert Safari + Dune Buggy Combo
Desert Safari + Dune Buggy Combo — two completely different desert thrills in one evening: driven through the dunes, then driving yourself.
A dune buggy is not a bigger quad. You sit inside a steel roll cage, belted, with a steering wheel and pedals, and the machine — a Polaris RZR 1000cc or a Can-Am Maverick, depending on availability and group size — has the suspension travel to take a dune face at a speed a quad cannot. That makes it the easier machine to learn on and the faster one to respect, which is why we brief and practise before anyone follows a guide into the open sand.
Your evening: hotel pickup in Dubai, out along the Dubai–Hatta Road (E44), 30 minutes of red-dune bashing across the Al Badayer Red Dunes with a licensed desert driver, then 30 minutes at the wheel of your own buggy on a guided desert route from our Al Badayer camp, with helmet, goggles and protective equipment supplied. Sandboarding, a camel ride and the full BBQ dinner with live Tanoura and belly dance follow at the camp.
AED 399 per person covers the whole evening including the buggy session. Drivers must be 16 or older; younger guests can ride along in a two-seat buggy with an adult driving where the vehicle allows it. Want the same day for less? The quad bike combo is AED 199.

What is the minimum age to drive a dune buggy?
16 years and above to drive. Passenger rules depend on the vehicle and package, so tell us the ages in your group before booking.
Is a buggy harder to drive than a quad?
Most guests find the buggy easier: you sit in a seat, steer with a wheel and use pedals, rather than balancing. The power is what demands respect.
Which buggy will I get?
The fleet includes Polaris RZR 1000cc and Can-Am Maverick models in 2- and 4-seat configurations. The exact machine depends on availability and group size on the day.
Can a passenger ride with me?
